Here are some quotations that I thought were particularly interesting.

"As long as you are striving and pushing and trying hard to do something that can never be done, you know who you are: someone with a weight problem who is working hard to be thin. You don't have to feel lost or helpless because you always have a goal that can never be reached."

"Women turn to food when they are not hungry because they are hungry for something they can't name; a connection to what is beyond the concerns of daily life. Something deathless, something sacred."

"The relentless attempts to be thin take you further and further away from what could actually end your suffering - getting back in touch with who you really are. Your true nature. Your essence."

"Compulsive eating is a way we distance ourselves from the way things are when they are not how we want them to be. I tell them that ending the obsession with food is all about the capacity to stay in the present moment. To not leave themselves....compulsive eating is basically a refusal to be fully alive."

"Obession gives you something to do besides having your heart shattered by heart-shattering events."

"I don't like that I have this obsession with food and I don't want to do what I need to do to work with it. I thought I did, but now that I'm here I've changed my mind. I'd rather go on another diet, I'd rather pretend that this is all about will power and eating the right food. I'd rather lose weight a thousand times more than truly see myself. Do the work of being aware of myself, knowing myself, discovering what I really believe about life, about love, about God."

"Imagine not being frightened by any feeling. Imagine knowing that nothing will destroy you. That you are beyond any feeling any state. Bigger than. Vaster than. That there is no reason to use drugs because anything a drug could do would pale in comparison to knowing who you are. To what you can understand, live, be, just by being with what presents itself to you in the form of the feelings you have when you get home from work at night."

I'm still reading, so stay tuned for more....

Annette Vaillancourt, Ph.D.
Personal Coach, Transformational Speaker
1-877-949-5935

http://www.TheSuccessDoctorIsIn.com

"Imagination is the beginning of creation. We achieve what we focus on."

"The six-figure women I interviewed often spoke more animatedly about their private awakenings than their financial achievement, about discovering the essence of who they are, the meaning and purpose for their lives, and expanding the boundaries that had limited not only their livelihood but their entire existence as well."

"...the amount people earn indicates how they feel about themselves...."

"Their pursuit of greater profit triggered a personal evolution. Some even referred to it as a spiritual quest of recaptureing (or discovering) their dreams, living fuller lives."

"I believe the power to make money is a gift from God." - John D. Rockefeller

"Money is congealed energy, and releasing it releases life's possibilities." - Joseph Campbell

"Living in scarcity is almost always an unconscious decision, often a recapitulation of our family coding.....Instead of letting go of old messages, underearners unwittingly re-create them."

"The inner work of wealth means identifying and overcoming those internal barriers that trip us up....Nothing changes until we do."

"If you have any hope of raising the earnings bar, the place to start is with what's in your head....Never underestimate the power of your thoughts to create your reality. The mind is the most powerful tool you have for transforming your relationship to money and your ability to earn it."

"Those in higer brackets think differently."

"Here's the biggest secret to overcoming your past and upping your earnings: You've got to be willing to be uncomfortable....It helps to keep in mind that the discomfort is temporary, but the payoff is extraordinary."

"As you aspire to monetary success, expect to find yourself simultaneously drawn to search for deeper meaning, to want to fulfill a larger purpose, and to have far broader impact than you ever anticipated."

"Traveling the path to financial success imbues you with the confidence, competence, and resources to make a genuine difference in the world, to achieve your dreams and help others achieve theirs."

"Hidden beliefs will eternally hold you hostage. It's awfully tough, if not nearly impossible, to break free from an unseen enemy."

"And, in an almost uncanny way, the instant she made that explicit declaration to make more money, her life took a definite turn."

"The women I interviewed regularly spoke of the synchronicities they encountered on the path to success."

"Strong intentions have been known to produce sheer miracles."

"You run into trouble when your expressed intentions are at odds with your unconscious ones."

"You have to make sure your declared intention is an authentic reflection of who you are and what you want, that conflicting intentions aren't inadvertently impeding your progress, and that your intent to profit doesn't run counter to the way you were raised, the role you've assumed, or the beliefs you embrace."

I'm still reading, so stay tuned for more....

Annette Vaillancourt, Ph.D.
Professional Counselor, Wellness Coach, Transformational Speaker
1-877-949-5935 - Free Initial Phone Consultation

http://www.GotStressGetHelp.com

"Imagination is the beginning of creation.
